This right here is exactly what your day needs!
Tell us your story; how and where did you meet?
How much space do we have for this :-) Well, long story, short is that we met at work.
He had accompanied a friend to my work place, and we bumped in the corridor. He complimented me on my perfume, and that’s how it all started :-)
How did he propose?
For some time I had been on a burn out and had been insisting on a small get away for some RnR. He surprised me with a spontaneous trip to Naivasha, Sopa lodge for the weekend.
On our last day, Sunday morning, he suggested we do a boat ride in the lake. It was quite surprising as he is not keen on venturing into large masses of water.
Well, on our return to land, he asked me to be his wife! You can guess what I said!!! ;-)
Margaret: What qualities made you decide that he was the man for you?
First and foremost, Lawrence is a hardworking and God fearing man. Which is what endeared me to him.
Then throw in his honesty, extreme caring nature, charisma and good looks!
For how long did you plan your wedding and what did you enjoy most about the planning process?
We planned the wedding within six months. The most fun parts were the traditional ceremonies and gown shopping!
What songs were played as you and your bridal team walked down the aisle?
Our bridal team walked down the aisle with Canon in D.
I Found love by Bebe Winans played as I walked down the aisle with my parents.
What was your wedding theme and what inspired your choice of colours, suppliers and style?
I wanted something vibrant, fun, happy and different, thus the choice of pink and yellow.
Each of our suppliers offered unique ideas on how to make our day more than memorable.
What made us pick them against the multitude was their openness and enthusiasm towards our day.
What would you say was your biggest challenge during the planning process and how did you overcome it?
Our intended videographer turned us down on the last minute; the day before the wedding. But we thank God we got someone else.
Tell us your biggest cost saver and any cost saving tips you have for people planning their wedding.
Our biggest cost saver was on the cars for the entire bridal party and parents, as they were offered by friends who were so generous that they even fuelled the cars!!
The bridesmaids’ dresses and cake as beautiful as they were, were also at remarkably good rates.
A tip we can give for couples planning their wedding is to Do what you they want for their special day, and not to be swayed by negative thinkers, no wedding planning process lacks them.
Give a brief recount of the wedding day, from waking up till evening and the things that were going through your mind at the time. All we know is that morning came so fast! We could not believe it was already our wedding day. We were both really excited.
I remember we talked on the phone at 5.30am, saying a prayer for the day before it all became hectic.
Time was really flying, before we knew it we were already dancing at the reception. We were just really grateful for God’s grace the entire day, it really was a beautiful day!
